After only two and a half weeks, Dan and I came to the same conclusion: Norway is easily one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited. Having traveled to over thirty countries together, we feel like that’s saying a lot. But don’t take our word for it—let these Norway pictures speak for themselves!
But first, an introduction to Norway.
Norway is an outdoor lover’s paradise. The scenery in Norway is dramatic, mainly because it is a land of fjords; the staggering juxtaposition between the snowy mountains and crystal clear water never gets old. But the beauty isn’t only for a single snapshot—it envelops you, extending on for as far as the eye can see. In Norway, you’re immersed entirely in the magnificence of nature. From imposing glaciers to rugged coastlines to vibrant green mountains, the undeniable allure of Norway seems too good to be true at times.
Norway’s villages and towns are just as charming, with their colorful wooden houses, pedestrian-only streets, chic cafes, and distinctly cool cosmopolitan flair.
You can read more about Norway in our other details blog posts, including travel guides to the Lofoten Islands (an unmissable paradise in the Arctic), Bergen and Trondheim, and iconic Pulpit Rock. But before you start planning your ultimate Norway travel itinerary, we wanted to get you excited with a bit of eye candy. We’re relatively sure it will make you want to get on a plane for Norway today.

Norway is quite possibly the most beautiful place we’ve ever traveled! Norway is relatively expensive compared to other parts of Europe but there are always ways to travel cheaper. We’ll actually be writing a whole post about how to keep costs down while traveling in Norway so stay tuned :-)
Beautiful!
Hi,
i’m interested about your post about cheap costs down while traveling in Norway.
May i have your post internet adress ?
Tank’s
No, I don’t think so. It’s not so expensive if you’re travelling to other European countries like Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, etc from where you can easily head to Norway. Actually Travel cost depends on from where you would like to visit Norway.

You nailed it! Absolutely stunning pictures. I didn’t know Norway was so colorful! I went to Oslo 2 years ago and it was dark and dull. Your photos make me wanna go back there once again and see other places!

We visited Oslo as well at the end of our trip and we much preferred the more wild side of Lofoten and the fjords.
Wow, wow, wow! Yep, you have convinced me. This looks like heaven to me.

Speechless again guys! These pictures almost don’t feel real, they look like a set of a film. My list of places to see is getting endless and I don’t think there is enough time to see EVRYTHING and to go EVERWHERE. Great photography as usual! :)

Haha!! I love the amazing photos; The scenery, colors, landscapes, and then at the end, the smiling, hairy, buck-toothed… cow?! I loooove Norway! Scandinavia in general is so beautiful.
Jon Blomquist recently posted…Carnival in St. Thomas, USVI!!
Thanks Jon! The cow at the end is called a “Highland Cattle.” We were super surprised when we saw him on our hike to the Blue Glacier. It looks like something straight out of Where the Wild Things Are (especially since we found him in the middle of the woods).
YES! I do feel like packing my bag, stuff a good jacket in there and head to Norway.
Stunning!! :)

Definitely bring a good jacket (along with a solid pair of hiking boots) cuz you’ll be wanting to spend all of your time outdoors. :-D
Wow, wow, WOW! I cannot get over the colors in these photos… and the landscapes… looks like something out of a fairytale! I’ve heard a lot of people say that Norway is beautiful, but now I’ve seen the proof. So sad that it’s so expensive… would love to see it for myself, but I think we’ll have to save up our pennies before that can happen!

Thanks Frank!
Yeah, I agree the scenery and photos are beautiful…. but…. it looks bloody cold!
As much as I would like to see the mountains (and of course the northern lights), I don’t think I am in a rush to pack my bags just yet. I’ll visit the warm places first!
Haha fair enough ;-) The Lofoten Islands were freezing, but the rest of Norway wasn’t too bad. That said, we had just finished cross-country skiing in Sweden and staying in an igloo in Finland ha! You’ll just have to visit in the summer- I think the weather would just be perfect then!
Norway IS beautiful; I’ve been there 5x and I can’t get enough of it; I’ve also traveled around the world quite a bit but Norway keeps calling me…..great photos guys, it makes me want to go back even more!!!
My husband and I are planning to sail to the Baltic Sea and Norway in 2017. I’m not really one much for the cold, but photos like this do get me psyched for our visit! Thanks for all the great images. :)

Nice shots! Looks like you got some difrent weather, too. I wish I can go to more change like you. Hmmm !
Where did you hike to/from to get to the spot where you guys have the photos from the rocks looking out over the fjords? Was this something you did on your own for free, or part of an organized tour? My husband and I might be staying in Bergen for a week and would love to try some hikes of our own to save the money but have no idea where to start looking for trail heads to take.
Sorry for the slow response on this! That was Pulpit Rock I believe that you are talking about – you definitely don’t need a guide and can do it on your own :)
How spectacular these photos are! That would be wonderful if I can go there right now
Wonderful landscape views and amazing country. I can’t wait to travel to Norway.
