So it’s not actually mine, but I did consider unleashing it from that tree. This photo was taken inside Hue’s Imperial City, the formal royal capital of Vietnam. Unfortunately the Imperial City was largely devastated during the Vietnam War; however, there is much reconstruction occurring across the ruins. A fascinating site and lovely place to go for a quiet stroll, though at a hefty admission fee of nearly US $6 a person. Photographing the horses is an added bonus.

Beautiful photo! I love horses. And I’m just dying to visit Vietnam. It’s going to need to wait a few years though. My dad served in the Vietnam War and it might just give him a stroke if I were to go.

Thanks! I totally understand. It is a really interesting place to visit. There is actually a whole tourism sector dedicated to giving tours of war sites to American veterans. It’s quite interesting to read about their experiences.
