Carrera 7 is a large avenue in Bogota, Colombia that is closed to traffic during the day. Since this was our first day exploring we decided to start here and see where the day took us. Along the road you’ll also see loads of street performers doing everything from break dancing to 3d chalk art to guinea pig racing. We happened to pass these two artists a couple of times along our walk back and forth down the road and were able to see the street transformed from mere pavement into an awesome work of art. We paused for a few moments to watch them as they continued their craft and thinking to ourselves they must love the act of doing this more than the result, as the artwork will likely be washed away tomorrow in Bogota’s predictably rainy weather.
