For me, India is a country that is on the surface quite chaotic. It’s fast, loud, crowded and all around overwhelming. Until we reached Udaipur, that is. Sometimes called the “Venice of the East,” there were moments I felt flashbacks to our time in Santorini and the Greek Islands. With colorful hillside buildings surrounding tranquil Lake Pichola, a meal at one of the many rooftop restaurants offers a welcoming escape from the busy streets below.
