Running for a Cause-1
The local kids of the elementary school in Playas del Coco Costa Rica have a fun run every year where they all go to the boardwalk by the beach and run for a cause. We happened to be at the park right when they started the run on a hot Sunday morning during summer. We had just sat down on some benches when all of a sudden, groups of kids starting swishing by with determined looks on their faces to get to the end.
There were kids of all ages from 6-10 and more kept coming to the park, piled in the back of trucks or golf carts cheering and yelling at each other. The park at the beach is best place to go and see locals living their daily life. You’ll see Costa Ricans just hanging out at the park, playing basketball, skateboarding, playing volleyball, enjoying a copo (Costa Rica shave ice), walking their dogs and just living the life at the beach.
