This was the first thing we ate upon arriving in Hsinchu, and it’s still one of our favorites. The restaurant is actually in Jhubei so we typically get our beef roll fix after getting up early to teach kindy.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Hsinchu. We don’t even know the name of the place but it’s right across from the RT-Mart on Nanya Street, aka about one minute from our apartment. The Kung Pao Chicken is amazing and they have free refillable...

The City God Temple is Hsinchu’s second most popular tourist attraction (right behind the East Gate) and is regarded as the highest ranking of all City God Temples in Taiwan. We’re not really sure what that ranking means but thought we would throw it in…thanks Wiki...

On our way to Taipei to celebrate our friend’s birthday! We had a fantastic time dancing all night, eating breakfast in front of the Taipei 101, and then taking the 6:15am train back to Hsinchu.
