My mom and I lived there during this time as well. I have always wanted to go back so this October (almost exactly 60 years after we left), Dad (83) and I (62) returned! Although I only have a few conscious memories of when we lived there, my heart remembered! Rhodes has captured my heart (again) and I’m planning my next trip back with my husband!

Santorini and Crete are other first choices for many.

What I like about Rhodes the most is the history. There is so much of it and it is hard to not appreciate it. I think the sun and the sea is all great, but it it a shame to miss out in the history of the place.

The Medieval City and Lindos are simply amazing. For me, I would always choose Rhodes over the other islands.
