Two of my favourite countries! I would definitely recommend a few days doing a sailing trip on a felucca in Turkey if you can – it was the highlight of nearly three weeks in Turkey for me. Hot air ballooning over Cappadocia was another one. Kas is a cool little town on the coast. I haven’t been to any of the Dodecanese Islands so I don’t have any tips for them :)

I’ve been to Rhodes, Crete and Skiathos in Greece, all lovely. I would say my favorite thing about Greece is just walking the narrow streets, learning about lokal greek mythology (often they have the location to the home of the greek gods etc, and ancient myths). And swimming in the crystal blue water! Santorini doesn’t have beaches (i think?) but most of the other islands do. The greek food is wonderful, I love tzaziki and the lovely vegetables they have, some how it tastes better over there. :-D pepperonata, stuffed tomatoes, motstand and gyros are some of the very nice dishes I’ve had over there. And they produce their own extra virgin olive oil that I take home with me! Greece is every bit as nice as the photos. You’ll have a wonderful time!

So cool you two!! Excited to see the future post on the “why” of your decision to make a home base for a year… I have a feeling we’ll have similar feelings about it all! In the meantime, Greece and Turkey sound so great!!! Cannot wait to see more. You two are awesome. xx
