Wow, this view is absolutely breathtaking – as I’ve found most of the views in Panama are of course! This is definitely on my list for next trip now. If you want a good view of the city on your next visit to Panama City, I highly recommend hiking in Parque de Metropolitano. It’s about a 25 minute drive, and at the highest point there is a stunning panoramic view of the skyline, as well as the mountains and the canal. I opted to go to this park instead of Ancon Hill (plus, we saw monkeys!)

Posada Loma Grande is under new management as of February 2012. You visited when the previous owners were still here. I do hope that you will visit again, and give us another chance.

If it's under new management I am heading there as soon as possible to see how things have changed. I agree, the coolest thing about Campana (no pun intended) is that it's so close to the sultry city!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I’m so sorry to hear that your stay wasn’t as great- how long ago did you visit? I know it is under new management now, which could explain the different experiences. But either way, so glad you loved the national park! It’s amazing how cool, refreshing and close it is from PC. :)

What a great article, love the photos! It’s interesting…I stayed with some friends (one local, one foreigner) at the same “B&B” but had an unfortunate experience with the owners’ idea of customer service and the small breakfast we were served (I’m a petite 5’0″ and left hungry). In any case I do love Campana and am glad you shared your experience online for others to read.
