Hey Anna! Thanks so much for following along with us :) We have a home base in now in Quebradas outside San Isidro – we should meet up sometime if you’re planning on staying in Costa Rica a lot longer :) We did hear that Granada has a chocolate factory. I think it’s called the ChocoMuseo. We didn’t look into it a ton though since we had done so many chocolate tours already in Costa Rica haha. You can never go wrong with chocolate though so I’m sure it would be worth checking out ;-)

I’ve been living in San Jose, CR for almost two years and am headed to Nicaragua on a visa run this weekend so it was great to get your perspective! It will actually be a second trip to Granada so I’m hoping to expand my experience and make it to Masaya. One question for you though. Did you do or hear anything about the local chocolate industry around there at all? That’s a little more to my interest than ziplines and long hikes… :) Gracias!!
