Lots of people flock to Pier 39 in San Francisco, California to see the famous sea lions. However, if you have a rental car it’s worth driving out of the city to Moss Landing for a personal show from the locals. From this spot you can them without the touristy crowds. They’re definitely an entertaining bunch of locals!

I have been away from northern California for about 11 years. I had to look up Moss Landing to find it was about an hour from where I used to live. Beautiful shot.

While I value the creatures of our world, these guys are overpopulating my little hometown of Moss Landing to the detriment of other species and several person-built piers. They are aggressive, noisy 24-7, stinky and, as feeders, prone to opportunism which also makes most of them pretty unhealthy. A sad situation for all.
