Haha, we had the same experience while housesitting in CR. We were looking after a cat in a cloud forest climate and you would know when it was mid-afternoon because the thunderclouds would start rolling in. Really great for reading and writing indoors, not so much for exploring :-p

Apparently we had more snow in North Carolina than they did in Stockholm this year. We couldn’t believe it. Before seeing it for ourselves we always though Scandinavia was covered in permafrost year-round :-p Turns out that’s not the case.

Not all days are spent on the beach with a cocktail in hand :-p

We quickly realized all we wanted to do was sit back and relax for a bit. It’s a big world and we want to see it all so sometimes you just need to remember to stay present and enjoy the moment :-)

Norway had a very mild winter this year by their standards. I was close to Stavanger in March and they said they’d had no snow which is virtually unheard of.
