If you plan to visit Athens, you cannot miss the most famous attractions that make the capital of Greece so incredibly fascinating and historical. But there’s another interesting spot off the most beaten tourist paths that will totally make your trip: the view from Lycabettus Hill.
Do I need to comment on its beauty?
To get on top of it you simply have to get yourself through the beautiful neighborhoods of Athens full of classical buildings and orange trees and reach Aristippou street, where a cable car will easily take you on top of the highest hill in town. On top of it, beside the breathtaking view, there’s a lovely little orthodox church –in which you can light a candle and make a wish. There’s also a cafè and one of the finest restaurants in town with a superlative terrace overlooking the city.
Since I’m hosted here today by Dan and Casey of “a cruising couple” I’ll dare a bit of couple advice: Want to propose to your globetrotting half? Book a table at sunset and do it there! If she doesn’t answer it’s because she’s still speechless from the view ;)

She recently opened the travel blog A Blonde around the World where she likes to share her favorite hotels, restaurants, activities and experiences in top destinations worldwide.

Great photo! I have been to Greece last summer so I have seen a very similar scenery. It looks even more beautiful at night with all of the lights on. I’m off to Athens in October so I can’t wait for that either. Are you guys planning to visit Athens in October as well? If so, we might meet up.
