We do a lot of research to hand-select the places that we think are unique, one-of-a-kind experiences, preferably small businesses that are making a difference in the local community. Then we just give an email or telephone call to the owner and explain who we are, why we like them, and see if they are interested in working together! I think it’s important to remember that it isn’t really ‘free’ so much as an exchange. Dan provides professional photography services in addition to the publicity and reviews we offer :) We try to be very selective in who we work with though as we strive to give honest, unbiased reviews.
