[…] This is another one of our all-time favorite spots in Costa Rica. Corcovado National Park has been dubbed by National Geographic as ‘one of the most biologically intense places in the world.’ With thirteen different ecosystems and some 2% of the world’s biodiversity, it’s hardly any wonder why. What’s more, Corcovado National Park is the last remaining Pacific lowland rainforest of sustainable size, boasting the region’s densest population of tapirs, jaguars, and scarlet macaws. Take a multi-day hike through the park, or stay nearby at a hotel like Casa Corcovado for easy access to the trails. […]

[…] Corcovado National Park is largely considered the crown jewel of Costa Rica’s 26 National Parks. After our wildlife encounters in the park—many of which occurred before we were even within the boundaries of the park itself—we understand why. […]

[…] The crown jewel of the Costa Rica National Park system is only for really dedicated nature lovers. Costa Rica itself holds 5 percent of all of the biodiversity on Earth and Corcovado National Park contains two-and-a-half percent of that, making it “the most biologically intense place on Earth in terms of biodiversity” according to National Geographic. all of sorts of pet dogs love scarlet macaws, toucans, sloths and all of four types of Costa Rican monkeys can easily be found within this region. Located in the remote reaches of the Osa Peninsula, it’s not an basic place to get hold of to by any sort of means. If you are keen to see it for yourself, here is a beneficial guide to hiking Corcovado National Park. […]

Thanks for all the great info. We are going to CR this month and really would LOVE to go to Drake Bay and Corcovado with our 3 kids.
[…] It’s no easy feat to arrive at Corcovado National Park, which is in large part what has kept it so pristine. I opted to base myself at Casa Corcovado, an eco-luxury resort situated as close to the national park as you can get without being inside the park itself. Access to the hotel is only granted after a riveting boat ride through the twisting Sierpe River and expansive Pacific Ocean, where crocodile, dolphin, toucan and monkey sightings are all just part of the journey.
