30 Photos That Will Make You Want To Take A Road Trip Through Tuscany

30 Photos That Will Make You Want To Take A Road Trip Through Tuscany

Whenever we visit a new destination, we often find ourselves saying “This is my new favorite place in the world!” Well, the Chianti Region of Tuscany was no different. Whether it has to do with the picturesque medieval villages, the rolling green countryside – or if it’s just the Chianti Classico wine talking – the region certainly knows how to charm.   Tuscany is widespread and not easily accessible via public transportation, so we definitely recommend renting a car and making daily road trips a part of your itinerary. Our car was from Economy Bookings and was perfect for exploring without limitation. We stumbled upon heaps of small Tuscan villages devoid of any tourists, as absolutely picture-perfect as could be. A car also makes it much easier to tote around all the wine you’re bound to pick up while doing all those Chianti tastings! But don’t take our word for it. Have a look at these photos that are bound to have you dreaming up your next road trip under the Tuscan sun in no time: 30 Photos That Will Make You Want To Take A Road Trip Through Tuscany   Driving through the Tuscan Countryside in Chianti Plump grapes almost ripe for vinification So much wine! Sunday Snapshot | A Trip Through The Tuscan Countryside | Italy

Where was the last place that you traveled that made you feel giddy? I don’t mean like it blew your mind or made you feel a million miles away, but a place that made you so excited that you just couldn’t sit still. When we were in Greece just a few weeks ago, the views of Santorini blew my mind and rock climbing on Kalymnos made me feel a million miles away. Tuscany makes us giddy....

Sunday Snapshot | The Best Sunset In Santorini Isn’t In Oia, It’s Here

Even before we arrived in Santorini, we knew Oia was a hotspot. All of the iconic photos you imagine Santorini to be are taken in this area. It is also to closest spot you can get to see the sunset. What we discovered, however, is that everyone on the island wants that same iconic view just as the sun hits the horizon, and the small twisting alleyways become more crowded than Times Square itself! We spent a week on the island giving us ample time to explore other sunset spots. The only spot we watched the sunset from twice and our overall favorite was the view from the quiet town of Imerovigli. The stunning cliffs of the caldera in the foreground extend all the way to Oia while the sunset falls perfectly between to islands. We had dinner reservations at Above Blue Suites as guests of Gastronomy Santorini and highly recommend getting a table for two during the sunset hour.   Want to see your picture featured on our Sunday Snapshot segment? Sunday Snapshot | Rush Hour in Vietnam | Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam is easily one of our favorite and most memorable countries for its effortless chaos, natural beauty, and incredibly yummy food!   The above photo captures the daily life of the Vietnamese people during rush hour in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest metropolis.  As you can see from the image, motorbikes dominate much of the roads.  Motorbikes, scooters, or cyclos, whatever name they may go by, is the chosen mode of transportation for both their convenience and practicality.  Often a family will share a single motorbike for both commuting and business, and so it’s not unusual to see 3-4 family members hanging onto one scooter, or even baskets, rice sacks, or water bottles stacked 6 ft high onto the back of a motorbike.  It’s certainly a stark contrast from more developed countries, but it’s a distinct part of Vietnam’s many charms.   I am an aspiring scuba diver, novice spelunker, ghost hunter and avid adventurer.  I have a penchant for always getting lost and have an uncanny ability to always choose the worst places to eat.  I traded in the suit for a backpack and now, with Dao, my wife and partner-in-crime, we are pursuing to live a life of travel. We have a healthy aversion to staying in one place for too long, and are the ceaseless wanderers and explorers. We travel to learn, we travel to live and we travel in search of the epic adventure.
