Prague is one of those magical destinations that will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only is it one of the most beautiful capital cities we’ve ever visited, it’s also where I took my very first solo international trip! The wanderlust that fuels my travels today was very much ignited years ago on that first adventure in the Czech Republic.
Besides the nostalgia, one of the things we love the most about Prague is the city’s fascinating history. The largest ancient castle in the world (Prague Castle), the stunning views from iconic Charles Bridge, the 15th century Astronomical Clock that marks each hour…and those are just a few of the most popular tourist attractions! Add to that delicious cuisine, great beer, a laid-back vibe and plenty of free things to do, and how can you not fall in love with Prague?
And while Prague might not get as much press as classic destinations like London or Paris, we think it’s one of the best places to base any European adventure. Not only will you have tons to do within the city itself, you’re also always an easy day trip from gorgeous Czech countryside, fairytale-like castles, and even top destinations in Germany!
