Expedia put us up to the challenge of crafting a romantic escape in a city more commonly known for its bachelor parties and debauchery: Las Vegas. Since we actually visited the iconic city on our honeymoon, we were more than happy to oblige. If you’re thinking of traveling to Las Vegas with your sweetie (or if you just want to discover a little bit more than the roulette table), then here is everything you need to know for a romance-filled vacay:

Las Vegas might commonly be referred to as ‘Sin City’, but it is also known as the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’. With everything from world class shows to helicopter rides and some of the best dining on the planet, there is no excuse for getting bored. What’s more, it also makes Las Vegas one of the most romantic places to escape with your partner! Take a sneak-peek of Las Vegas with these inspiring images or get started learning more below!

Bellagio Las Vegas

Where to Stay:

From super-luxury hotels to intimate boutique designs, there’s a variety of scrumptious hotels to meet every taste. You can’t go wrong with the class and service at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel. However, for location and style, it’s tough to beat the Bellagio. Want to be whisked away to Italy? The Venetian will have you feeling like you’re walking the streets of the floating city in no time. Finally, if you’re in a tropical mood, The Mirage and Tropicana have the Caribbean vibes you’ve been seeking. You can even use the trip to Las Vegas as an excuse to visit a variety of hotels to mimic a trip around the world!

If you’re looking for a break from all of the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas strip, you should check out one of these Lake Las Vegas hotels. Visiting Lake Las Vegas is like visiting a small village in Italy, where you can relax and enjoy the great views with a glass of wine.

Where to Eat:

Las Vegas has emerged as one of the very best places in the U.S. —if not the world—to enjoy fine dining. Treat your loved one to Peruvian-Japanese fusion at the largest Nobu in the world. Or maybe Joel Robuchon’s iconic fine dining establishment in MGM Grand is more your taste. You can even dine in the ‘Eiffel Tower’ without needing a passport! For a variety of restaurants to fit any budding romance’s budget, this Forbe’s article is a great introduction to the variety of cuisine available.

What to Do:

Hot Air Balloons Rio Grande New Mexico

Take A Hot Air Balloon Ride
One of our favorites memories from our honeymoon road-trip was drifting up-up-and-away in a hot air balloon. While our journey was in New Mexico, we wouldn’t hesitate to take a ride over the rugged Nevada landscape, too. The tour starts off at sunrise when the air is calm and refreshing. After drifting at around 1000 feet for nearly an hour, you’ll end the tour with a hot air balloon tradition: a celebratory champagne toast. Could there possibly be a better (or more romantic) way to begin your day? It’s Las Vegas like you’ve never seen it before.

Go On A Vegas Nights Helicopter Tour
If you like the idea of viewing Vegas from the air but you’re not so sure about floating in a balloon, then we recommend a night helicopter tour. The famous sights of the Las Vegas Strip will look completely different when you’re sipping on champagne in the limousine of the sky. The perfect adventure if you really want to impress your love in Vegas.

See a Show
One of the highlights of our honeymoon in Vegas was having the opportunity to see Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Mystere’. We have always been huge Cirque du Soleil fans since Casey’s first encounter in Spain. The acrobatics, humor, live music, and audience involvement go above and beyond every time. But Cirque du Soleil is just one of the many shows featured in town. Jersey Boys, Rock of Ages, and Absinthe all have reoccuring shows at various venues. Additionally, we’ve heard great things about Blue Man Group, which will likely be our next show of choice.
