ollantaytambo-machu-picchu-blind-man-harp

Just outside the hustle and bustle of the crowds on their way to visit the world-renowned Machu Picchu, we spotted this blind man playing his harp in Ollantaytambo.  The music was beautiful, and the setting awe-inspiring.  Many people paused to admire his music and to give a small donation.  Only a few read his sign that said he was blind and appreciated the skill with which he played and the passion that he showed.  He was doing what he loved in the place that he loved.

This musician and his genuine heartfelt performance showed the true spirit of the natives that live there.  This was what we’d call the icing on top of the cake when visiting an incredible place like Machu Picchu.
