Not every sunrise brings with it dramatic cloud formations and fiery orange skies but the little seaside town of Paraty, 250kms (155 miles) south west of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil seems to get its fair share. With small islands scattered 500m from shore and giant peaky mountains far behind this makes for an idyllic setting and a landscape photographer’s dream. I’ve never really been a morning person but scenes like these are quickly converting me.
An extra hour in bed or a stroll along a near deserted beach with this view?

This photo is amazing, look at these colors! I’m a huge fan of sunsets but I have to admit that this sunrise is pretty cool too.

Fab photo, Dan!
Dan, that is a really great photo of an amazingly colorful sunrise! It definitely was well worth being up early, for the views and also to explore Paraty. It’s such a beautiful place… :)
