Capel Curig, Wales is known for being the wettest place in the British Isles, so although the scenery in this area is downright gorgeous, the weather was overcast for most of our time there. When the skies finally cleared, we rushed up to the highest point that we could find in order to take in this glorious sunset. I’m glad we did, because the play of shadows over the hills and valleys ended up being spectacular.

Amazing photo. I’m sad to admit that even though most of my lineage goes back to Wales, I’ve never been despite having spent over 4 months in England.

We know how you feel. We often find it the hardest to explore when you have extended stays. The mindset of ‘oh we’ll get around to it before we leave’ is a dangerous one. I hope you make it there someday!
This is incredible as I was in Wales and I was standing in exactly the same place and still remember this landscape. It was winter time though. Amazing shot, brings back so many great memories :).
