Beef Noodles–our trustworthy fallback for lunch. We can’t even count the number of times we have walked into a restaurant where we were unable to communicate, so the wait staff just assumed we wanted to eat beef noodles. After all, we’re foreigners and it’s Taiwan’s National Dish! The ingredients are simple but delicious, mainly consisting of beef, beef broth, Chinese noodles and a few vegetables. Luckily we really do love the dish, because we wouldn’t want to be facing jail time!
